## How it works
- Reads the caption track (creator-provided or auto-generated) that YouTube publishes for a video.
- Displays it with timestamps so a reader can follow along or jump to a moment.
- Optionally translates it, and generates AI summaries, study notes, flashcards and Q&A from it.
- Can read AI-written notes aloud using synthetic text-to-speech voices.
- Runs in the browser; there is also a Chrome extension.

## Limitations
- A video with no caption track cannot be transcribed from its captions; an in-browser speech-recognition fallback is offered for uploaded files.
- Auto-generated captions contain recognition errors, especially with accents, jargon and background noise.
- Private, unlisted and age-restricted videos are not accessible.
- Caption text is displayed for reading only. The tool does not offer copying, downloading or exporting it, and does not download video or audio files from YouTube.
- AI summaries can omit or misstate details; they are not a substitute for watching when accuracy matters.
